Spring Break YAY!

My Spring break has started! Thank GOD!

I've been looking forward to spring break since school started. :)

I got to start off my spring break off on a great note. Ryan, Jason and I took Nicki Skiing and we went boarding. We went up to Tahoe after I got out of class Thursday and went up to Squaw Valley Friday to hit the slopes.

I swear it snowed the night before just for us.
It was BEAUTIFUL!!! Perfect blue sky's and fresh powder.

The Lame but funny joke was "What do the birds say here?" "Squaw squaw!" haha probably not funny to you but it was hilarious. As you can see in the picture above it was sooo empty we had most of the mountain to ourselves.

We had fun staying at Ryan's parents time share, it was pretty and we even went swimmimg!

Nicki and I were pretty cute snow bunnies!

We wrapped up the weekend with a Branding with the Brigantino's, Sushi with the Leal's, Family reunion with the Andrade's and a pool party with the DeMaggio/Brigantino/Leal's. It was a fun filled weekend full of family, smiles and laughs.

The todo list and FUN things for the rest of my Spring Break
*Get teeth cleaned
*Get car fixed
*Hangout with Sandi! YAY!
*Do Laundry
*spend time with Memom, Auntie, Mom, Jill and Jena
*Go running!!!
*EASTER

*Hopefully some Homework...

We'll see how much I actually get done...

Going on a park hunt...

Every Wednesday I volunteer at SETA Head start Preschool from 9 to 1pm. It is so fun and I totally love it. The class is about 20 kids 10 boys and 10 girls. They always have the best things to say and I laugh all day.

Today I was talking to a little girl named Devi and everything I said to her she said she didn't like so I finally asked her, "Devi is there anything you like?" and she replied, "Why yes I like muffins!" I laughed soo hard, because number one what 5 year old says why yes and number two muffins? So random.

We went on a walk today and the head teacher, myself and seven students set off for an adventure to the park. We both weren't sure exactly where a park was but I figured I follow her lead. Long story short we got lost and I had to call Ryan to google us to give us directions to get back. It was really funny. One little boy JR said, "I think we are going in circles." And all we could do was laugh because it did seem we were going in circles.

Along the way we found a heart shaped bush and we decided to take a picture. The little boy on the far right told me he loved me today. They are so cute and I love the time I get to share with them.

Running in Sac with Oz

Today after watching the biggest loser Oz and I set out on an adventure running to go pay our SMUD bill. Which is pretty much the same as PG&E.

Last week Oz thought of this idea and so I told her okay. Little did I know it seems a lot closer by car than on foot. It took us about a half hour to get there (note that Oz forgot what street it was on so we had to guess) And it took us about the same amount of time to get back.

In that amount of time we almost caused 2 bike accidents and got either honked at or whistled at by 3 different cars. I had to of course pretend to run into at least 2 signs! haha!

Above is a picture of Oz with the train going over and we were about to run threw that tunnel that we decide to scream threw for fun! Followed by Oz saying, "look dollar tree." and me saying, "what tree is a dollar?" Come to find out there was just a dollar tree bag in a tree. haha!

All and all Oz and I had a great time sharing stories, laughing and exercising.

ALL Aboard!

Yesterday evening I took the train from San Jose back home. It is always an experience in itself.

I’ve been to the train station many times, mainly from picking up and dropping off Ryan when he used to come visit me from Davis. And the best part is when I try and get to the train station I take the wrong exit every time. It never fails!

My mom drove me to the train station tonight and there is something so much more sad about saying goodbye before getting on a train compared to leaving from home in a car. Just makes it seem like you are going so much farther.

I got on the train and found my seat, a single chair facing forward next to a plug for my computer. I think the best part about the train is the people on the train.

Around me there is a guy with longer hair than me, no shoes, two bags. I think he must a traveler or a hippie or both. He kept to himself but his body oder did not.

There is the creeper that walks by more than like five times. Really where is he going? I can't help but think he never bought a ticket and is trying to avoid the train staff.

The mom with two kids, a little girl like 3 and a boy maybe 6, both intrigued by the lights outside and the tunnel we went through. Asking questions about the train and why this why that? What’s this? I just can see their minds learning from this experience. The little girl of course wants to walk around and the mom says no. The little guy plays a DS for a bit and then plays with some stickers, placing one on his forehead and making faces in the reflection of the window. Totally made me laugh!

A young guy whose destination is Davis which I’m sure I where he goes to school. Makes me think of all the train travel Ryan did to visit me. He plays with an ipod and crashes out in like ten minutes.

An older lady who gets up and walks around, she tries to talk to those around her, but then gets soo wrapped up in a book.

I’m the girl who sits by herself typing on her computer with head phones on. I smile at people if they look at me but I normally keep to myself on the train. Because sometimes once you open the flood gates of conversation with someone it may never end. Haha!

All in all it was a good travel day!

Ryan's 23rd Birthday!

Today Ryan turned 23! WOW! It seriously seems like just yesterday we met, but yet the day we met it felt like we had known each other our whole lives. Ryan is my best friend, soul mate and partner in life! We are a team, Ry's strengths are my weaknesses and my strengths are Ry's weaknesses. We balance each other out in life! I love that Ryan is so driven, hardworking, loving, honest and extraordinary! He puts his heart into everything he does. Ryan not only makes me proud but he makes me feel safe and LAUGH like no other!

This picture was taken in Rome! Haha, One of my favorites!

One of the things I love most about Ry is that he is a family man. He will do anything for his family and loved ones and I cannot wait for the day Ry and I tie the knot and start our own little family. This is Ry and my cousin Sara sharing a drink at breakfast.

Ry even dresses up with me for Halloween. Junior year Ry was Captain Hook and I was Peter Pan, Senior year I was Princess Belle and Ry was the Beast. First year of college we were Indians, the next year we were Sailors (picture above) and the following year we were dressed in my uncles uniforms from the air force. And last year we didn't dress up because our anniversary is actually on Halloween and we decided to have a special night and go to dinner.

One of Ryan's Favorite things to do is go to the Improv Comedy Club! We love to laugh and can always appreciate a good joke and even an awkward bad joke!
Ryan even gives in to silly things I want to do like see if we can both fit in one life vest. Having fun at Lake Tulloch

Ryan and I have been very blessed to have found each other so young and get to share the bulk of our teenage lives and hopefully our entire adult lives together. We have had so many special opportunities and one of them was traveling through Europe. I was nervous to go and Ry held my hand the whole time! I'm so lucky to have Ryan be the one who has the key to my heart.

Happy Birthday Ryan! You're the BEST! And I LOVE YOU!!

A five year old's pick up line...

Today while volunteering a little boy asked me, "Kristina what were you for Halloween?" I replied, "uh a Sailor." (Even tho I didn't even dress up this year, but I was a Sailor a few years ago and this is the first thing that came to mind...so I went with it.) Then he said, "Oh I thought you were going to say a Princess, because you're pretty."

Hahaha! My heart melted! He's too cute. Don't think he meant it as a pick up line but it made my day.

He then asked me who my favorite princess was, and I said, "Belle!"

If anyone has ever seen in my closet you'd think I was a Belle barbie/doll collector but the truth is I've never bought one for myself. My dad who is a collector of different things started me on them and now I must have around 20. :)

I lied I kind of dressed up for Halloween...
I was a Bee and led the costume parade at my mom's school.

I also carved pumpkins with my cousin

TV Shows

So there are a number of shows that I frequently watch, and there are ones that I watch with Ry and certain ones with Oz.

With Oz we watch The Bachelor, The Biggest Loser and one newly added to the list The Secret Life of an American Teenager. The Bachelor just ended and let us disappointed and bummer like I'm sure most Bachelor fans were, but the FUN news is Ali is going to be the next Bachelorette. Ali was my pick to win and got into the top four and left due to losing her job and staying on the show or leaving and keeping her job. I don't blame her I would have done the same thing. The Biggest Loser is another have to watch. It motivates us to go run and try to eat healthy. And The Secret Life of an American Teenager well it just makes us laugh... every other sentence is I'm not having sex, he cheated and had sex with her, I had sex and then my dad died. Every other word is sex something. The show isn't the best but gives us a laugh.

And with Ry, another long list...starting with Desperate House Wives, Cougar Town, Modern Family, Park and Recreation and sometimes 30 Rock for Ry. We both don't have cable so we enjoy watching these shows on Hulu. The commercials are normally either 20 or 30 seconds long, and normally we kiss during them or I laugh as hard as I can! hahaha!

How is it that shows totally pull us in and it becomes so much a part of how we feel. Some of the characters in these shows become a part of me and conversations I have with others. And when they decide to end like Gilmore Girls and Friends. Ugh...It just sucks! Yes I still quote them with those that I know them with is like my sister and cousin. :) Like yesterday I got a text from my sister that just said, "I'm in es-ka-row!" I laughed and Gilmore Girls fans know exactly who said that.

There is a new show starting and it premieres tonight actually, it's called Parenthood! Hope it's going to be good... it has Lorelei Gilmore in it. AKA Lauren Graham. And her daughter is the little girl that was on Hope Floats. So excited to see it!

Anyways, I know everyone has their favorite shows and I am sure like me some of you are looking forward to DWTS!!! And for those of you who don't know what that stands for WTF! JK It stands for Dancing With The Stars! Oh and Jake from the Bachelor is going to be on it. :)
